[Handle-globus] errors in WS Core testing

I'm working on testing the Java WS Core installation, section 9.5 in the 
System Administrator's Guide 
(http://www.globus.org/toolkit/docs/4.0/admin/docbook/ch09.html), and 
when I run bin/globus-start-container -nosec, it spits out the same 
error message every 60 seconds (other than the timestamp):

[Thread-11,pollGetMultiple:149] Exception Getting Multiple Resource 
Properties from 
http://127.0.0.1:8080/wsrf/services/ReliableFileTransferFactoryService: 
java.rmi.RemoteException: Failed to serialize resource property 
org.globus.transfer.reliable.service.factory.TotalNumberOfBytesTransferred@f37a62; 
nested exception is:
	org.apache.commons.dbcp.DbcpException: Connection refused. Check that 
the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting 
TCP/IP connections.
