Re: [Handle-globus] Failure installing Globus 4.0

Hi Lars,

I'm afraid that globus specific install issues are better dealt with on
the "discuss@globus.org" list: there is a very helpful community there
that is very good in giving advice and resolving build&install issues.

(...and I don't know the answer to your Qs - I can only see that the
../../../../install may lift you above the root directory, which
normally is a little too high for comfort ;-) ... normally you would
build the source code in your home directory or ~/src or something like
that and only move it to other places during the install after the build
- maybe the /globus-4.0.0 confused the install script - you may want to
try to build it first in under your $HOME ... another issue may be that
your GLOBUS_LOCATION, i.e. where the globus stuff is or gets installed,
points at the same directory where you build (?))

Regards, Frank.
