[Handle-globus] SAML attribute mapping: case#1: compound attribute

Given that SAML <attribute-name, attribute-value> to be mapped into <handle-value-type, handle-value-data>, how will SAML attributes with additional qualifiers be mapped into handle-<type, data-value> pair?

For example,

The following SAML attribute:

 <saml:NameIdentifier
        Format="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:X509SubjectName"
        NameQualifier=http://uchicago.edu/gridshib/idp>
    ABC
 </saml:NameIdentifier>

may be mapped to a handle value whose type is "saml:NameIdentifier", and whose data-value is "ABC". But what role will "NameQualifier" play in this mapping?

I think this is essentially the same question you raised in the wiki page.
